The Gretsch G5191BKLH Tim Armstrong Signature in flat black is a hollow body with a stripped-back look but a bit more versatility than you’d expect.

Designed with Tim Armstrong from Rancid, it’s still very much geared towards punk and rock, but the dual pickup setup gives you a bit more range to work with. You’ve got a solid bite from the bridge, and a warmer, fuller tone from the neck when you need it.

Being fully hollow, it’s got that open, resonant Gretsch sound, and it responds well whether you’re playing clean or pushing it with gain. The neck feels comfortable and easy to get around — nothing overly chunky or awkward.
