Welcome to Guitars In The Attic. By using our website and purchasing our products, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms protect both you as a consumer and us as a specialist retailer.
1. General Conditions
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time. All prices are listed in GBP (£). We make every effort to ensure the accuracy of our product descriptions, especially given that most of our stock is pre-owned, but we reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions.
2. Contract Formation
- Online Orders: The contract for sale is formed once you have received your delivery.
- In-Store Purchases: All in-store sales are final. If you have visited our showroom to try an instrument in person, there is no legal or moral responsibility for a refund.
3. Payment & Financing
- Standard Payments: We accept most major credit and debit cards (including Visa and Mastercard) and supported digital wallets.
- Payment Enquiries: If you have a specific query regarding a payment method or wish to discuss an alternative arrangement, please get in touch with the team before attempting your purchase.
- Finance: Guitars In The Attic does not offer or provide finance options, installment plans, or credit agreements.
- Customer Responsibility: Any finance required for a purchase must be arranged independently and personally by the customer. We have no connection to, or liability for, any third-party credit agreements you choose to enter into. Payment to us must be made in full via our accepted payment methods before any goods are released or shipped.
4. Shipping & Delivery
- Collection: We are a traditional bricks-and-mortar specialist. We strongly encourage in-store collection for a personal handover.
- UK Shipping Only: We currently only offer shipping to addresses within the United Kingdom. We do not ship to international destinations.
- Delivery Attempts: If a parcel is refused or returned to us due to multiple failed delivery attempts, a £29 recall fee will apply.
- Redelivery: A redelivery fee will be applicable if you require us to re-dispatch goods returned by the courier.
- Damaged Goods: You must notify us at 01623 657301 or info@thegita.co.uk within 24 hours if an item arrives damaged from transit. Detailed pictures of the packaging and damage are required.
5. Product Condition & Use
- Anti-Rental Policy: We do not appreciate "renting". Any item returned with signs of use, wear, or missing accessories will result in a rejected return or a partial refund to account for devaluation.
- Digital & Software: Digital effects and amplifiers must not have user data saved. Software licenses and digital downloads are non-refundable once the key is applied or the download is initiated.
6. Special & Custom Orders
- Final Sale: Products that have been special-ordered, custom-built, or modified at your request cannot be returned for a refund unless they are faulty.
- Suitability: We cannot accept responsibility for the suitability of a special-order item, though we will provide the best advice possible prior to purchase.
7. Limitation of Liability
Guitars In The Attic shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our products. Our total liability to you for any purchase shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific goods.
