This 1990 Gibson Firebird Standard marks the historic first year that Gibson brought back the legendary 1963 "Reverse" body style as a core production model. It features the definitive 9-ply mahogany and walnut neck-through construction, which gives the guitar incredible natural sustain and a highly resonant core. The Vintage Sunburst finish beautifully highlights the wings and the raised center section of the body.

True to vintage spec, this model features rear-mounted banjo-style planetary tuners and a pair of high-output 495R and 495T mini-humbuckers. These pickups deliver a bright, cutting single-coil-like bite but with the punch and hum-free performance of a humbucker. Complete with a comfortable '60s "C" neck profile, this first-year reissue is a fantastic piece of Gibson history that plays effortlessly. It includes its original Gibson hardshell case.
